Sand Castle Library
The Sand Castle Library opened January 2100 and already averages over 500 visits every month. By March 2010 Sand Castle Library had morphed into a Community Center with 50+ children and teens spend 2-3 mornings or afternoons each week at the library. All come to read, do homework, or participate in workshops; to play games, puzzles, or outdoor games, and to just “hang around with their friends." Our goal is to provide as many services as possible to attract the kids and their families -- all with the goal of fostering literacy.
